Why and How We Get Sick

Laying Down Sick

When we get sick it can be a miserable time in our life. As we have

time to reflect when we stay home and try to get better we think why?

Where did this come from? Was it someone we were around? You look at

the dog or the cat and think did you give me this? If you have

children you could think, you little disease carrier you did this to

me. Was it something just floating in the air? I know some of this

seems silly but how did it happen? It is you.

Your immune system was simply weak. You did not have the strength to fight whatever it is.

The weakness may have happened because there is confusion in your

life. This weakness could come from something tragic that happened to

someone in your close family. You might have  other things happening

both large and small. All these things on your mind, thinking,

contemplating, searching and putting strain on your immune system.

You are exposed to things every day, some of these things, most of the

time do no harm to us. We are strong, the body was designed to be

healthy all of the time. However because life can be so difficult it

can start to weaken that strong immune system. One day we just don’t

feel right. We think we may be coming down with something. When we get

home we do the things that make us feel better. Family, a nice meal,

some comfort food and after a good night's sleep we wake the next day

and we are back to our old self. That should be the way we get better.

Sleep is the body's healing time.  However sometimes it doesn’t happen

that way.

Another day we just don’t feel right. When you get home

things don’t go right. The family is arguing about something that

can’t be resolved at this time. When you were traveling home you got a

flat tire. You had been very busy the past week and the flat did not

get repaired since the last time it happened. Money has been tight and

you have had to put off a new set of tires for the car. You had to

wait for the tow truck to bring you home.

Now all these things after you eat dinner start to weigh on your mind. How are you going to get to work tomorrow? That flat tire is not going to fix itself overnight.

This makes for a disturbing sleep. Dreams of flat tires, being

stranded or something else. The next morning you really don’t feel

right, body aches, you feel warm, thinking you might be coming down

with something. Some of your workmates have been sick lately with

something and maybe you caught it from them. Laying in bed you

contemplate how to solve this problem. Maybe I should take the day

off. I have some sick time on the books.

This is a normal explanation of the mind/body experience that leads to ill health, and homeopathy is the remedy.
